Cancom and Pironet launch Cloud Marketplace

Cancom’s subsidiary Pironet has launched a “BusinessCloud Marketplace”. Companies receive business applications from major software manufacturers such as Microsoft or Google, as well as specialized applications from German software providers.

Cancon launched a marketplace for software applications from the cloud this week with the  BusinessCloud Marketplace . It was brought to life by the subsidiary Pironet, which also has overall responsibility for the software marketplace. Companies receive business applications from major software manufacturers such as Microsoft or Google via the BusinessCloud Marketplace, as well as specialized applications from German software providers. Customers should also benefit from unified invoicing and unified contract management across their entire Software-as-a-Service landscape. All applications can be tested for free for 30 days before purchase.

“More and more companies want to get their applications flexibly as a service from the network,” said Rudolf Hotter, COO of Cancom. The problem is, however, that users use different login data for each application and the business apps have no connection to the existing application landscape of the companies. “With our BusinessCloud Marketplace, we have now created the ability to acquire applications in one place and Then use applications via single sign-on. The integration with our existing AHP Enterprise Cloud also enables users to access their existing applications as well as the new SaaS applications within a single desktop, “added Hotter.

There are currently 19 business apps on the marketplace, including One Drive for Business, Skype for Business, Office 365 ProPlus, Exchange Online and regify. According to the manufacturer, however, numerous other software providers will be available on the BusinessCloud Marketplace in the coming weeks. Software vendors already part of the Europe-wide Cloud28 + initiative have easy access to the marketplace. Conversely, Cancom / Pironet also supports easy publishing of SaaS applications in the Cloud28 + catalog.

“The Cloud28 + initiative, which brings together users, providers and other stakeholders via a central European cloud catalog, is growing day by day. Software vendors who have already joined this initiative benefit from simplified onboarding on Cancom / Pironet’s BusinessCloud Marketplace, “said Heiko Meyer, CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Germany. The first software company to be part of the Cloud28 + initiative, whose trusted e-communications products are already on the marketplace, is regify

“We’ve designed our entire application world from the very beginning as pure Software-as-a-Service applications,” said Thomas Davies, Director of Worldwide Partner Management at Google. “We are very pleased that these solutions can now also be purchased through one of the leading German cloud providers – Cancom / Pironet.”

Floris van Heijst, General Manager of Microsoft’s midmarket and partner business, also welcomes the new offer: “The Marketplace offers our customers the opportunity to combine our cloud applications with the world of solutions of the numerous specialist software manufacturers, to obtain them in one place and to provide them with familiar advice and support from Cancom / Pironet “.
